Product Information Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA). Description: Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA). Applications: CEA can be used as general marker in screening and monitoring malignant disease states. CEA is suitable as immunogen for antisera production, tracer for iodination and standard for immunoassay. Not suitable for use in vitro or in vivo studies of specific immune response (vaccine trials). Please refer to Cat. # 8CEA88mf. Purity: Immunoaffinity purification Presentation: 0.1 M PBS, pH 7.4, 0.2 % of sodium azide (NaN3), and 2.0 % of methyl-mannoside as stabilizer. Shipping Conditions: - 20 °C Source: Single patient source colon carcinoma liver metastatic tissue. Blood sample from the tissue donors was tested and found negative for HBsAg, HIV-1 and HIV-2 antibodies, and HCV. Analysis: SDS-PAGE, denaturating: multiple protein bands 150 - 210 kDa. Comments: Contains sodium azide (0.2 %) as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.
