Glial Fibriallary Acidic Protein (GFAP), polyclonal from guinea pig. Reagent for Neuroscience and Cell Biology. This clone has been derived from hybridization of Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice immunised with purified glial fibrillary acidic protein from human brain.  

Description: Glial Fibriallary Acidic Protein (GFAP), polyclonal from guinea pig. Reagent for Neuroscience and Cell Biology. This clone has been derived from hybridization of Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice immunised with purified glial fibrillary acidic protein from human brain.  

Specificity: Reactivity: MoAb GF5 reacts with 43-45 kD band corresponding to GFAP in immunoblotting of extract from human brain and spinal cord. There is no cross-reactivity with other neurospecific proteins.  

Applications: Detection of GFAP in ELISA, indirect immunofluorescence staining and immunohistochemistry.  

Purity: Purified by affinity chromatography.
