Hybridoma clones have been derived from hybridization of X63-Ag8-653 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice immunized with purified human proinsulin.
Specificity:
MAbs 1G4 is directed to different antigenic determinants.

Kd for MAb 1G4 is 2.6 x 10-7 M.
MAbs 1G4  does not cross-react with human, bovine and porcine insulin,bovine and porcine proinsulin, and human C-peptide.

MAb Isotypes:
IgG1, kappa for all MAbs
Applications:
Detection of human proinsulin in two-site enzyme immunoassay.
Recommended pairs for sandwich immunoassay (capture-detection):
7F8 (Cat.# 1-I1)1G4 – mixture of D6C4 and D3E7 (Cat.# 1-IP)
D6C4 or D3E7 (Cat.# 1-IP) (Could be used for direct coating of prohormone in serum samples)
MAbs 1G4 can be used in immunohistochemistry on frozen sections.
Specific immunosorbtional removal of proinsulin molecules from serum samples before the measurement of insulinic C-peptide.
